High-Speed Steel (HSS) Construction: Withstands high heat and maintains sharpness. Black Oxide Finish: Enhances rust resistance and reduces friction during drilling. Straight Shank: Compatible with standard drill chucks for easy installation. Versatile Application: Ideal for drilling wood, plastic, and metal materials.SPECIFICATIONS: Drill Bit Size: 23/64″ Overall Length: 4-7/8″ Flute Length: 3-1/2″ Point Angle: 135 Material: High-Speed Steel (HSS) Shank Type: Straight Shank Finish: Black OxideHOW TO USE: Preparation: Always wear appropriate safety gear, including eye protection. Ensure your drill is unplugged or the battery is removed before changing bits. Installation: Insert the straight shank of the Irwin 23/64″ drill bit into the chuck of your drill. Tighten the chuck securely to prevent the bit from slipping during use. Positioning: Mark the desired drilling location on your material. Position the tip of the bit directly on this mark. Drilling: Start the drill at a low to medium speed, applying steady, even pressure. The 135 split point will naturally self-center, so there is no need to apply excessive force. Maintain a consistent speed and pressure until the hole is complete. Cooling (if needed): For metal applications, periodically pull the bit out of the hole to clear chips and allow the bit to cool. This can extend the life of the bit.BENEFITS OF USING IRWIN 23/64″ X 4-7/8″ BLACK OXIDE HSS 135 DEGREE DRILL BIT (63523ZR): Quick Start: The 135 tip eliminates the need for pilot holes or center punches. Durability: HSS material ensures prolonged sharpness even under heavy-duty use. Corrosion Resistance: Black oxide finish protects the bit from rust and wear. Versatility: Effective for use on wood, plastics, and metals. Universal Fit: Straight shank works with most drill chucks for broader compatibility.FEATURES: Self-aligning tip design with 135 split point Manufactured using durable M-2 HSS Rust-resistant black oxide surface treatment Standard shank ensures easy fit in common drills Suitable for general-purpose drilling tasks Compatible with materials like plastic, wood, and metal
